The strength of humankind: we remain fascinated by events that are greater than ourselves. And sharing knowledge helps us to thrive.

Science now gives us a better understanding of the event, and enables us to predict the time at which the eclipse will occur in each zone concerned. On Monday, April 8, 2024, the eclipse will cast us into complete shadow for just over a minute at 3:27 pm (in Montreal), and we’re eager to hear what astronomers and scientists have to say. From the most skeptical to the “Tiktok flash culture” enthusiasts, everyone is keen to read a handful of well-researched lines to find out more.

We’re all about science and astronomy. Darkness might just push back obscurantism a bit. Scientific progress doesn’t only come at the expense of life on the planet.

Here’s an instructive article (in French) on Radio Canada.

Important … but that’s all right: a subject you can’t be pro or con about, just a fact, with no impact whatsoever.

Of course, locals nonetheless debated on access to goggles, whether or not schools should be open, taking a break from work (or even work from home, since you can see the sky better from home than from 10 km away…). That’s normal, we enjoy talking…
